We hadn’t really thought about going to Koh Phangan, but after enjoying a few amazing days at Explorar Koh Samui, we were so impressed that we’ve decided to extend our adventure and explore their second location.
Explorar Koh Phangan is situated in the southern part of the island, renowned for the famous full moon party (which is just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel). Being an Adults Only Peacefulness destination, you’ll experience positive vibes, a prolonged happy hour by the pool, and DJ sunset sets.
Getting to the resort is a breeze if you’re coming from Koh Samui. Simply hop on a boat from Haad Rin Queen Ferry (with a fare of 200 Baht), and once you reach Haad Rin Pier, a complimentary shuttle will be waiting for you.
For those arriving from the mainland or Koh Tao and disembarking at Thongsala Pier, the hotel can help arrange transportation for your smooth transfer.
ROOM
We chose the deluxe pool view room for our stay, and it didn’t disappoint. The room featured a spacious layout with a large, comfortable bed, a TV, a well-stocked mini bar, a wardrobe equipped with hangers and shelves, a secure safe, and a practical desk with a chair—covering all the essentials for a cosy stay.
The attached bathroom was well-appointed, featuring a roomy shower stocked with toiletries, a toilet, and a sink with a large mirror.
The real highlight, however, was the beautiful balcony. Furnished with a table and chair, it provided a captivating view of the pool and the sea, particularly breathtaking during the sunset.
POOL
The resort treated us to the ultimate experience with Koh Phangan’s best infinity pool, complemented by a spacious bar, comfy lounge chairs, and bean bags that we happily carried down to the beach, conveniently located just in front of the pool.
Lounging by the pool was a special treat, especially during the magical happy hour. The best part? We could grab our drinks directly from the pool, adding an extra touch of relaxation to our day.
FOOD
Just like at their sister location, the Oddysey restaurant here is a culinary gem, offering a delectable fusion of Authentic Mediterranean & Thai dishes, including mouth watering pizzas. The menu is quite extensive, ensuring that even if you decide to dine here every day, there’s always something new to try.
In the morning, kickstart your day with the amazing breakfast spread, where you can also order eggs and coffee just like you want it.
Beyond the restaurant, Explorar enhances the dining experience with convenient room service, delivering the delightful flavours of Authentic Mediterranean cuisine and pizza straight to your doorstep. However, the pièce de résistance is the unique beach dinner experience, featuring a captivating setting and a carefully curated set menu.
