Useful Information
Getting around Bali: Bali has definitely improved since my first visit. You can easily get around with a ride from Gojek or Grab, but keep in mind that Bali traffic can be intense especially during the high season. Try to plan your activities close to your hotel to save time.
Watch out for dogs and monkeys: As cute as they are, these animals can still be dangerous. Scratches and bites can happen, and they carry the risk of rabies, which is still a concern in Bali.
Sun protection: Bali can get very hot, especially in the summer, so make sure to use sun protection, wear hats, and drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Bali belly: Unfortunately, Bali belly is still common, but it can be avoided with a little care. Don’t drink tap water or brush your teeth with it, and always check reviews before picking a restaurant. If you can, avoid fresh vegetables like salad from places you’re not sure about. But don’t be afraid of the balinese food as it’s so delicious.
Finding a doctor/travel insurance: Accidents can happen, especially when traveling with kids, so it’s super important to have travel insurance like XXX. If you need a doctor or hospital, use Google Maps – it’s easy to find the info you need.
