When I am planning a city break, choosing the right hotel is always high on my list. I usually look for three things: great reviews, a good location, and something that fits within our budget. Simple, but essential! On my recent trip to Berlin, I stayed at the Radisson Red Berlin Kudamm – and honestly, it ticked all the boxes. From the stylish design to the super convenient location, it was the perfect base for exploring the city. I had a fantastic stay, and I can’t wait to share all the details with you!

I have collaborated with Radisson Red Berlin Kudamm, and I want to clarify that all opinions expressed on this blog about the hotel are solely my own honest perspectives.

Location

Radisson Red Berlin Kudamm is in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district, really close to the famous Kurfürstendamm shopping street. You’ll find everything there – from high-end designer stores to more familiar names like Zara, C&A and loads more.

The area is full of great restaurants, cafés and bars too, so there’s plenty to do even if you don’t feel like venturing far.

If you’re planning to explore the city (which of course you are!), getting around is super easy. The U-Bahn station is literally just outside the hotel, and the S-Bahn is about a 10-minute walk away – perfect for getting around Berlin without any hassle.

Check in

As you enter Radisson Red Berlin Kudamm, the check-in desk is just on the right-hand side, tucked into the stylish and modern lobby area. The whole process was super quick and easy – no fuss at all. The receptionist was really friendly and made us feel welcome straight away, which is always a nice start to any stay.

Room

My room was on the 4th floor and had a lovely view of the garden below – such a nice surprise in the middle of the city! It made the room feel peaceful and a bit more private, which we really appreciated.

The bed was big and super comfy – I slept so well, which doesn’t always happen when you’re in a new place. The room itself had a clean, modern design but still felt cosy, not cold or too minimal like some hotel rooms can be.

There was everything we needed for a short city break: a TV, a little desk if you need to get some work done, a comfortable chair, and even a Nespresso machine.

There was also a wardrobe with enough space for both of us to unpack a bit and a bathroom with a nice walk-in shower and good water pressure. Everything was very clean and well looked after – you could tell the room was regularly maintained.

Gym

I didn’t pack our workout clothes for this trip, but I still popped down to check out the gym at Radisson Red Berlin Kudamm. It was actually quite spacious and had everything you’d need for a solid workout – from cardio machines to free weights and a few strength training options too.

Restaurant/Breakfast

The restaurant at Radisson Red Berlin Kudamm is located on the ground floor, right next to the lobby. I didn’t get a chance to try their full menu this time but I did go there for breakfast.

The selection was really good, with plenty of options whether you prefer something savoury or sweet in the morning. There were hot dishes like scrambled eggs, sausages, grilled veggies, and even little meatballs – something a bit different! On the cold side, there was a nice variety of cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruit, and more. And of course, they had pastries, cereal, and all the usual breakfast goodies if you like to start your day with something sweet.

I also appreciated the relaxed vibe of the space – it didn’t feel overly busy or rushed, which made for a nice, slow start to the day before heading out to explore the city.

Bar/Garden

One of the most stylish spots at Radisson Red Berlin Kudamm has to be the bar – it’s so gorgeous! Just look at those deep green bar stools, the modern curved counter with warm lighting, and the hanging plants above giving it such a fresh, inviting vibe!

The bar is surrounded by comfy lounge chairs and cosy corners, perfect whether you’re in the mood for a proper cocktail or just a chilled evening drink. It’s got that trendy, boutique hotel feel without trying too hard – which I loved.

If the weather’s nice, you can also head straight out into the garden, which is right next to the bar. It’s a little hidden gem! There are plenty of places to sit and relax, from stylish outdoor furniture to super comfy hammocks where you can really switch off. We spent some time out there in the late afternoon with drinks – so peaceful and such a nice change from the busy streets of Berlin.

If you’re wondering where to stay in Berlin, I can honestly recommend Radisson Red Berlin Kudamm. It had everything I look for in a hotel – great location, stylish design, comfy bed, friendly staff… and that bar and garden area were just the cherry on top.

If you’re planning a trip and searching for the best hotel in Berlin that’s both comfortable and well located, this one should definitely be on your list.
